A Vision for Inclusive Spaces
Expanding Identities Development, LLC was founded in 2017 with a vision to create safe, inclusive spaces where marginalized communities, particularly LGBTQ+ individuals and Queer Communities of Color, could thrive and grow. It began with a simple mission: to provide education and leadership development that reflects the lived experiences of these communities, creating pathways for individuals and organizations to embrace diversity, equity, and inclusion fully.
Addressing the Gaps in Traditional Education
From the start, our founder recognized the deep need for educational services that went beyond traditional models of training and development. In a world where systemic inequalities and discrimination often prevent marginalized voices from being heard, there was a gap—a lack of truly intersectional education that could address the unique challenges faced by those navigating multiple identities, such as race, gender, and sexual orientation. With a background in both education and community leadership, our founder was driven by a passion to close that gap, offering solutions that empower rather than exclude.
