Hillary Henderson M.A., AAPC
Clinical Counselor & DEI Education Consultant

Hillary Henderson is an associate professional clinical counselor with a Master of Arts in Counseling from Loyola Marymount University. Her primary passion is helping others to become the best version of themselves. Working from a person-centered framework, Hillary serves clients through theoretical practices that work best for each individual. These include cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, psychodynamic, and rational-emotive behavioral techniques; all with a focus on trauma-informed care. She provides treatment for self-esteem and body image, disordered eating, substance abuse, relationship and attachment styles, life skills, and overall wellness goals. Hillary considers people as the experts on their own lives; with that, her job is to provide professional knowledge and skills to guide clients through their personal growth journeys. In another realm of her career, Hillary specializes in diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism initiatives in higher education. Through programming and professional development trainings, she connects with students, faculty, staff, and administrators to contribute to a more inclusive campus environment and support the needs of underrepresented identity groups. Hillary is a writer, dancer, and cat enthusiast with a passion for community healing, mental health advocacy, and social justice through educational empowerment. Her favorite self-care practices include spending time with friends, crafting, yoga, and playing video games until her eyes hurt. She also enjoys traveling to experience different cultures and ways of life.
